With over 25 years experience of working in the House of Commons, Sally has built up a wealth of experience in performance management and and business strategy.
Sally worked for many years in the Committee Office of the Department for Chamber & Committee Services as a secretary and then Finance Manager with a budget of over £60k. She was then promoted to Business Manager in the Department for Information Services, working with John Pullinger CB (now National Statistician for the UK). During this time, Sally worked with John to design a Balanced Scorecard as well as being the secretariat to the Board of Directors. This involved “delegating up” as well as engaging with staff across the Department and the both Houses to ensure that the information provided was accurate and up-to-date. A big part of this role was holding the Directors accountable for goals and objectives published in the departmental Business Plan as well as monitoring and managing a budget of over £20m.
Since taking early retirement, Sally has built a business based on the skills she gained in order to help small business owners implement systems and processes to reduce their stress, increase their productivity and most importantly, increase the value of their businesses when they decide to sell.
